Q: Is there a minimum amount of dictation we must provide?
A: No. There is no minimum requirement. You can dictate one week, and then decide you don’t need any transcription for weeks or months. Your account will always remain active.
Q: How do I get my dictation to you?
A: Dictating process: We have toll-free phone line that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You are assigned a user ID number to allow you access to the system. Or, if you prefer, we can set you up on our secure FTP site to transfer voice files dictated on your hand-held digital recorder.
Q: Are there any startup fees?
Q: How long does it take to get a new dictator set up to dictate?
A: If you are using our phone-in lines, it will only take five minutes. If you need a new recorder set up on the FTP site, our IT person would need to connect with you. That can usually be done the same day.
Q: What is the turnaround time?
A: We provide a 24-hour turnaround time for dictation unless you alert us otherwise. Just let us know your office’s needs, and we will accommodate them at no extra charge.
Q: Is there any charge for stat reports?
Q: Can I use my templates for my reports?
A: Yes. Just provide us with the template or dictate the templates you would like used, and these will be used when indicated.
Q: How do I know you can work in our EHR?
A: Faber Transcription has worked with a variety of EHRs. They are all very similar.
Q: How long have you been in business?
A: Faber Transcription has been in business for 28 years.
Q: We have quite a bit of work. Are you sure you can handle it?
A: We have the ability to handle any size account.
Q: Will I always have the same transcriptionist doing my work or are there several?
A: You will be assigned two people so that there is no delay in returning your dictation with the 24-hour time period. Others will be trained in case of illness, etc.
Q: Do you outsource your work overseas?
A: No. Faber Transcription has always been a USA-based agency.
Q: How do I add more doctors to your system so they can dictate?
A: Just call our office or email us with the dictator’s name, and we will provide them access.
Q: How do you bill us?
A: We invoice out the 1st and 15th of the month, providing you with an overview of the work transcribed during that two-week period.
Q: Can we get set up on a monthly billing?
Q: What if we start with you and then decide it is not working out? Do we have to stay for a specific period of time?
A: If for some reason you no longer want to remain with Faber Transcription, you can depart immediately.
